Riders departed from Roseway in Gainsborough town centre, heading over the River Trent then passing through Beckingham, Saundby, Sturton le Steeple, North and South Leverton and Little Gringley.

Arriving in Retford the riders paused for a refreshment stop at The Best Café in the Market Place where they were joined by members of Dinnington Cycle Club.

The ride home headed out of Retford passing through Clarborough, Hayton, Clayworth, Gringley on the Hill, Walkeringham and Beckingham returning to Gainsborough along the riverside cycle path.

It was a very pleasant 30 mile ride, with time to view the Chesterfield Canal.

The mild clear day made good riding conditions, and the view from Schrog Hill was splendid.

Next week’s event is on Sunday 31st January, when round four of the speed judging event will take place.

Riders should meet at Roseway in Gainsborough at 9.20am.
