The two Boston-born hockey stars were part of the squad which competed in the six-match series Down Under, acting as preparations for this year’s Olympic Games in Rio and Champions Trophy in London.

But the duo were not part of the team which went down 3-2.

The contest earned the hosts a 2-1 series victory, with three matches being drawn.

Forward Macleod was in action in the penultimate match in Perth, which ended as a 1-1 stalemate on Saturday.

Although Cullen missed out on the final two matches, she was on target in Thursday’s 3-3 draw against the Aussies, opening the scoring from a penalty corner.

Cullen and Macleod were both part of the Great Britain team which won gold at the London Olympic Games four years ago.
