Get in the swim of things at Woodhall Spa's Jubilee Park

One of the area's premier tourist attractions has announced an action-packed programme for the coming season.

Staff at Woodhall Spa’s Jubilee Park have finalised plans which will again centre around the outdoor swimming pool - and the building of a new sensory garden.

The pool opens on Good Friday (March 30) with a free swim day on Tuesday April 3.

The pool will be a heated 29°C (86°F) and hot showers and heated changing rooms will make up for any chilly weather.

Bookings are being taken for popular midnight swims with the first on April 14.

Work on the ambitious sensory garden project will take place throughout the year. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, much of the necessary funding is in place and more events will enable the project to be completed.

Trustee Julie Pole, who is leading the project, said: “The quality and nature of the craftsmanship we are employing means we will have a permanent and attractive addition to the park rather than a cheap ‘quick-fix.’”

During the last two weeks in March, there will be a display in Woodhall Spa library with more information about the Jubilee Park season, along with membership and volunteer application forms.

The park is a charitable company and is keen to recruit more members.
