Both will be teeing off on November 4 and eager to join the other qualifiers in the final stage at Girona’s PGA Catalunya Resort the following week. There, the top 25 players and ties will earn their European Tour cards.

Those finishing outside the top 25 gain a place on the Challenge Tour, with those who make the cut being being ranked in a higher exemption category.

Wyberton teenager Spooner and Coupland, from Boston, are both attached to Woodhall Spa Golf Club.

Coupland was the first to progress from the first stage, finishing second at Northampton’s Collingtree Park on September 23. He completed his four rounds on -12, pocketing 1,200 Euros in the process.
