Coupland takes the postives in Portugal

Dave Coupland was looking at the positives following his tied for 67th finish at the European Tour’s Portugal Masters.

“Struck the ball probably the best I have in months but the scores never sometimes reflect that,” he wrote on Twitter after claiming 1,983.38Euros in winning at the Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course, Vilamoura.

Coupland shot rounds of 72, 68, 71 and 75 to finish on +2 on the par-71 course.

The event was won by South African George Coetzee, who finished on -16 to secure a total of 156,825Euros.

The Boston golfer, who is attached to Woodhall Spa GC, will now turn hios attention to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open, held at Ballymena, from September 24.
