Dave Coupland is hoping to bounce back as he returns to Nairobi’s Karen Country Club tomorrow.

He will be competing in the Kenya Savannah Classic presented by Absa, his third event on the European Tour this year.

Coupland missed the cut in the Magical Kenya Open presented by Johnnie Walker, held at the same venue last week.

A superb first round saw him end last Thursday four under, getting round the par-71 course in 67 shots.

But on Friday he came unstuck on the final four holes.

Going into the 15th he was three under, but returned from the course three over.

“Poor last six holes for me today,” Coupland wrote on Twitter.

“Massive learning experience. Caught a flier and compounded an error. Onwards and upwards.”
