Foster overnight leader at Gleneagles

MARK Foster was the overnight leader at the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles, after a first round 66.

After three false starts due to a fog delay, Foster shot a six under par round to take the lead.

The Worksop golfer hasn’t played competitively since the Irish Open, so he travelled to Scotland early to get some practise in.

“(Today) was a good, solid day. My caddie was quite good actually. Five under par starting the tournament is in a great position to be in.”
