Golf girls win
Defending champions Lincolnshire joined the hunt for 2012 honours in the England Golf women’s County Finals when they beat Lancashire 5-4 at East Devon on Tuesday.
Gainsborough’s Emilee Taylor joined Sophie Beardsall to beat Catherine Roberts and Bethany Garton 2&1 in the foursomes, and she won 4&3 in the singles, defeating Gemma Marie Batty.
Lincolnshire were due to play Essex as the Standard went to print.
