Much of the money raised was for lady captain Sally Downey’s charity – The British Heart Foundation.

Now that the season is over, the ladies recently met for a Christmas competition and lunch and were delighted to present a cheque for £2,700 to Helena Mair, the fundraising manager for Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire British Heart Foundation.

Also, at the Christmas lunch it is a tradition that the ladies donate toys for less fortunate children which are then collected and distributed by Homestart.

The table was filled with an amazing selection of toys and games and Heather Bruntlett from Homestart had the challenge of fitting them all into her car.
