Jade and Karen are amongst the prizes at Market Rasen GC

Market Rasen GC’s ladies have been busy playing golf during the summer.

Due to COVID-19 some of the regular events have not taken place but they were able to play the Championship weekend and the Lady Captains’ Day.

Championship weekend saw the Harmsworth Trophy was won by Jade Baker with a total gross score of 177, ahead of Joy Purkiss with 180 and Jane Salt with 183.

The Sergeants Salver was won by Karen Moore with Ann Todd in second place and Sheilah Mitchell in third.

Other prizes: Best nett on Saturday, Sue Archer; Best gross on Saturday, Jenny Holborn; Best nett on Sunday, Helen Gibbard; Best gross on Sunday, Gill Fussey.

Lady Captain’ Day was held on a beautiful sunny day, enjoyed by those who took part

Results: Division 1 - 1 Ann Doyle, 2 Gill Fussey, 3 Rosemarie Lawton; Division 2 - 1 Susan Smith, 2 Angela Moore, 3 Marilyn Tompkins.

Lady Captains Sharman Smith and Helen Gibbard congratulated all who took part and presented the prizes to the winners.

They also thanked the team who have worked tirelessly to make it possible for golf to be played this year.
