Trophies and charity cash dished out during busy week at Market Rasen Golf Club

Joy Purkiss and Margaret Rylatt took the honours in The Marshall Trophy at Market Rasen Golf Club.

The Taylor trophy was won by Jane Salt, with Suzan Patten in second and Rosemarie Lawton in third.

A Stableford competition was won by Hilary Tuhey, with Sheilah Mitchell in second and Helen Wilson in third.

Two mixed competitions have also been played. The first was Phillip’s Family Foursomes which was won by the vice captains of the ladies and mens sections, Linda Reeve and Graham Reeve.

The Ainsworth Trophy was won by Sue and Michael Archer. It was a perfect reward for Sue who, along with a team of ladies, have worked extremely hard to keep the ladies competitions going.

The Captain’s charity day was a mixture of mens , ladies and mixed teams.

The winning mixed team was Helen Wilson, Richard Marshall , Robert Wilson and Rose Stevenson.

The winning Ladies team were Hilary Tuhey ,Jane Salt, Rosemarie Lawton and Jackie Parker.

The day raised about £5500 which was divided between the mens charity, St Barnabas Hospice ,and the Ladies charity, Motor Neurone Disease Association.
