Worksop duo team up for first time
WORKSOP duo Mark Foster and Lee Westwood (left) were due to play together for the first time as professionals, as the Seve Trophy got underway in Paris on Thursday.
The pair, both products of Worksop Golf Club’s junior section, were scheduled to take on Anders Hansen of Denmark and Italy’s Francesco Molinari on the opening day. Foster has never played match play in his career as a professional golfer.
Westwood’s father John, out in France to support the Great Britain and Ireland team against Continental Europe, told the Guardian: “They’re both looking forward to the tournament, they’ve never played together as professionals.”
