Horse-racing ‘Tip Of The Day’ — Monday November 26

Our SIX FOR THE WEEKEND followers are in clover again, thanks to a 7/1 winner yesterday. Now let’s hope the bad weather relents to help TIP OF THE DAY return to success.

Monday November 26

THE DRUIDS NEPHEW

Kempton 1.30 WIN

At his best, Nicky Henderson’s former Cheltenham Festival winner, Spirit Son, would pick up and carry his rivals here. But this is his THIRD attempt at switching to fences from hurdles, and he’s looked far from a natural on the previous two occasions. What’s more, I’m not convinced he has the stamina for the 3m slog in the mud that this novice chase is sure to develop into. Therefore, he is worth opposing with Andy Turnell’s five-year-old, who displayed lots of promise on his own fencing bow at Ascot earlier this month. He’s a willing stayer who has won a point-to-point in Ireland and also acquitted himself with credit as a novice hurdler in decent races last term, most notably when sixth to the ill-fated Brindisi Breeze at the Festival.

SUNDAY: GODSMEJUDGE MEETING ABANDONED

SATURDAY: PEPITE ROSE UNPLACED

FRIDAY: FOURJACKS 4TH

TIP OF THE DAY IS SUPPLIED BY SCOOP RACING (RICHARD SILVERWOOD).
