Housham’s comeback

THE weekend saw Morton Striders competing on two fronts with 27 members travelling to Doncaster for the Brooks 10k and another five members competing just down the road in the Tickhill 10-miler.

The Doncaster 10k also doubled as the second leg of the club’s Phil Rose Handicap Trophy and was won by Kevin Housham who has made a remarkable comeback from injury and is now looking well capable of going sub-four hours when he competes in the Edinburgh marathon at the end of the month, with several other Striders team members.

Second place went to Craig Ward with a personal best of 48-23 and third was Chris Litherland.
