It's looking good for Gainsborough Rugby Cllub

Gainsborough All Blacks 37, Lincoln 3GAINSBOROUGH Rugby Club gave another impressive performance on Saturday to leave the club feeling good about its future.

There was some good play by the youngsters in the side and they are now starting to look like a formidable unit.

Saturday saw impressive performances from Grant Bell, Elliot Humphrey, Daniel Dawson and Tom Bond, all young players working hard and putting in sound performances for the side.

Local rivals Lincoln were well up for this game but the deadlock was broken after 10 minutes when Bell scored a try and Shaun Parker converted.

Shaun Parker converted a penalty before Dawson scored with a try and then captain Vernon Goude scored following a 22m run to put the All Blacks 25-0 in front at half-time.

Despite Bell going to the sin bin for 10 minutes, Gainsborough went on to score two more tries, one from Humphreys and one from Albert Parker, Shaun Parker converting one to make the final Gainsborough tally 37 points.

Lincoln scored a consolation drop goal to give them three points.

At the final whistle Grant Bell was awarded the man of the match award.
