Judo players throw themselves into it

AT a Lincs Area Judo Grading, at West Lindsey Leisure Centre, 56 judokas from Whiteswood Lane, Sturton Judo Club, Seathorne and Skegness tussled.

Members grading from Sturton all showed improvement, achieving the following: Taylor Bristow red + 1 white tab, Jacob Powell red + 2 white tabs, George Hadden red + 2 green tabs, Harrison Bristow and Aaron Dawson white + 1 yellow tab, Isaac Powell and Joel Dooley white + 2 yellow tabs, Lawrence Bole and Jenson Wykes yellow belt, Harvey Walters yellow + 1 orange tab, Rohan Dooley yellow + 2 orange tabs, Francesca Fisher and Jacob Bole orange + 2 green tabs, Tom Burton blue + 1 brown tab and Emma Butler brown and 1 black tab.

Members from Whiteswood Lane produced the following grades: Eve Dumpleton and Lucas Porter red + 2 white tabs, Elliott List red + 2 orange tabs, Callum Gibson and Madison Codd White + 2 Yellow tabs, Emily Hickling Yellow Belt, Brandon Smith and Annalise Bradford Yellow + 2 Orange tabs, Salley Davey Orange + 1 Green tab, Lydia Smith and Josh Fisher Orange + 2 Green tabs, Bethany Bradford Orange + 3 Green tabs Chris Gillyett Brown Belt, Kieron Smythe Brown + 2 Black tabs, Andy Porter Senior Yellow Belt, Gaz Owen Senior Green Belt and Steve Lomas Senior Brown Belt.

Gainsborough training is on Mondays, 6pm to 7pm for 5 to 12-year-olds and 7pm to 8.30pm for junior green belt upwards and seniors/adults, at West Lindsey Leisure Centre.

The session fee is £2.

Sturton training is on Thursday nights from 6pm to 7pm for 5 to 10-year-olds, 7pm to 8.30pm for junior orange belt upwards and seniors/ddults at Sturton-by-Stow Village Hall (£2 per session).

All first sessions are free.
