Junior orienteering duo in top five
TWO Bassetlaw Juniors travelled to the Southern Night Orienteering Championships on Saturday.
Ben Beresford and Will Parkinson both did very well, Beresford finishing third on the M18 course and Parkinson fourth on the M16 course.
On Sunday, four Bassetlaw runners competed at the Lincoln Orienteering Group’s event at South Common, in Lincoln.

A top performance by Stefan Taylor saw him win the short course, while on the long course Robert Parkinson came eighth, Andrew Ridgway 16th and Helen Parkinson 18th.
The next local event for Basselaw’s orienteers in on Sunday 23rd December, at Walesby Forest.
Registration is from 10am to 12noon, with starts from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Courses to suit all ages and abilities will be on offer.
