In the Pro-Am section of the tournament Lee partnered his father John. The pair had rounds of 68-67 and 72 but missed the cut.

The tournament is played over three different courses and Lee started his campaign at the Pebble Beach Golf Links where, thanks to five birdies and just one bogey, he shot a very good 68.

On day two he was at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club and with two birdies and two bogeys shot a level par 70.

Day three was on the Spyglass Hill Golf Club where he managed four birdies but a double bogey at the 6th hole and bogeys at his final three holes gave him a 73.

The final round was back at the Pebble Beach Golf Links and Lee found birdies at the opening three holes but a double bogey at the par 3 fifth hole and another one at the par 5 18th saw him close the tournament with a level par 72 for a final total of 283, three under par and a share of 46th place.

The US Tour is in California again this week where Lee will play in the Northern Trust Open at the Riviera Country Club.

On the European Tour Mark Foster missed the cut at the Joburg Open after rounds of 69 and 75.
