Lee wins memorial

THE John Hunt memorial match was fished at the Riverside complex, where 19 anglers turned out to enjoy a great day.

We are happy to report that despite the recent cold snap at night, most participants managed to catch, and in a very tight finish Lee Hasset clinched the win with 23lb 7oz.

He finished just ahead of Garry Morris on 22lb 1oz and Steve Morris on 21lb 2oz.

More importantly, money was raised and donated to Bluebell Wood.

Match organiser Terry Pixley would like to thank everyone who took part.

With the changing of the seasons the emphasis on our sport is also changing, with the predator anglers and beachcasters dusting off their tackle for the winter season.

With that in mind we have already had a few enquiries as to whether we will be running any beach matches this year.
