Lifetime award for Tony

GAINSBOROUGH Rugby Club held their annual dinner and presentation night on Saturday, at the Weston Rooms.

Tony Goude is to retire from his position as secretary this year, having been involved in rugby administration for the last 30 years.

He was presented with a life membership award for his outstanding contribution, engraved on a silver salva.

Gareth Wood took the 20 Year Tankard, the Jack and Jill Cup went to Nathan Mitchell and the Dave Pilcher Shield for Most Improved Player went to Mikey Nicoll.

Ross Duncan was the winner of the Tom Bell Trophy for Best Young Player, Best New Player and the Bill Parker Tankard went to Nathan Haymer Bates and Craig Woodhead took the Maori Captain’s Trophy. Andy Turner-Guest was the Players’ Player of the Year and won the Jamie McMenemy Trophy, while the Tony and Jean Rodgers Trophy and Club Captain’s Trophy went to Daniel Chadwick.
