Mablethorpe runner nets age group win at Woodhall Spa 10k

A 10-strong group of Mablethorpe runners joined the 999 entrants who completed the annual Woodhall Spa 10k road race.

In warm and sunny conditions, Mablethorpe athletes had an exceptionally good day with two finishing within the top three of their age group and a host of personal bests.

Kev Harrison was first in the men’s vet 60 group, and 117th overall, in 41min 56secs, while Janine Stones finished third in women’s vet 45 category and 128th overall as she clocked 42.34.

Guy and Louise’s daughter Phoebe Willey took part in the fun run.

* Archie and Ellie Rainbow were back on the track once more for the third Humberside League meeting at the Costello Stadium in Kingston-upon-Hull.

Approximately 250 athletes from all age groups were there for the programme of track and field.

The siblings produced excellent results with Archie winning the boys’ under 15s 800m in 2min 14.1secs, and Ellie clocking 3.01.0 in the girls’ under 13s 800m.
