Weather conditions were cloudy with the occasional brighter periods and a decent temperature, but the strong gusting south-westerly wind had its effect on catches throughout the match.

Most anglers opted for the sheltered pegs, but from the all-in, the anglers were into fish and throughout the match they continued to catch.

When the all-out was called after six hours it was down to the weigh-in which revealed the bream had shown in peg 10 for Stuart Cash.

Stuart fished the feeder and had three decent bream plus a few smaller fish to take the match spoils with a weight of 10lb 3oz.

Sam Appleyard fished the feeder and waggler from peg 28 and claimed a good second place with 7lb 4oz, including a tench pushing 3lb 8oz.

Andy Labaj took third position with 4lb 7oz from peg 29, fishing the waggler which he had two nice-sized perch among his catch.

Jim Hewson also caught a tench within his 2lb 8oz total.

With some decent fish being caught, the anglers hope the weather continues in their favour and that the colder weather as finally left.

The next six-hour match will be on Sunday, April 2, draw at 8.30am with another roving draw.
