Market Rasen Golf: Florida Scramble without the sun

With the conditions being far from Florida standards, the competition was reduced to nine holes.

The team of Di Warburton, Jackie Parker, Sheilah Mitchell and Pam Holbrook had no problem with the cold and wet weather and came in with a winning score of 33 points.

Tilly Lawrence, Helen Gibbard, Joy Purkiss and Jenny Holburn finished as runners-up with 35.8 points, and Sue Borthwick, Rebecca Ross and captain Helen Grinham secured third position with 39.5 points.

A quiz was held after the competition for the entrants to brush up on their knowledge of the rules. Jackie and Sheilah capped a very good day by winning this as well.
