Market Rasen golf: Steve and Pam lift RJW Trophy
The first of the bi-annual meetings between the senior men and the ladies' sections of Market Rasen Golf Club took place last Wednesday under blue skies, warm sunshine and a new format.
Formerly a match between the two has been played, but this time one senior golfer teamed up with one lady to play a stableford competition with the scores combined at the end of the round.
The pairs were competing for the RJW Trophy, a new cup kindly presented by Richard Walker of St James’ Place Wealth Management, who also sponsored the event.
Winners of the cup were Pam Holbrook and Steve Armstrong with a combined total of 66 points.
Maz Wilkinson and Steve Hornsby finished in second place with 63 points and taking third place on countback were Ronnie Sullivan and Ed Beechey with 62 points.
