A total of 10 riders competed in the 125 class on a wet and rutted track, meaning it was going to be a hard day for all where track craft was going to play dividend.

Race one saw Mickie up against round one winner Harry McGurk, in which he had to settle for second place, pushing all the way but unable to get close enough to make a pass.

Race two saw Mickie take his first win of the day over another top runner in Luke Harrison.

In race three, Mickie was second again, this time Harry was first, with Corbin Pavitt third.

Race four saw Mickie take his second win of the day over Luke after Jordan Pallin was pushing Mickie for the lead when his bike picked up a misfire, resulting in a DNF.

Race five was a repeat of rounds one and three, with Harry stealing the march to complete an unbeaten day in the heats.

Mickie joined Harry, Jordan and B final winner Corbin in the A final. Harry hit the front and Corbin rode on the inside of Mickie and Jordan.

Mickie took the outside line to go around Corbin to take up the chase on lap three, Jordan also edging past Corbin to pursue Mickie and Harry.

But this was to no avail and over the line went Harry, followed closely by Mickie, with Jordan third and Corbin four.

Round three will be on January 8.
