Midweek rides
Local sporting cyclists may be interested to know that the Retford Wheelers midweek cycle rides are still taking place every Tuesday and Thursday.
Starting at 10am from Ranskill crossroads, a number of local riders are joined by cyclists from as far a field as Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield for rides of approximately 60 miles, which includes two cafe stops, before returning through Ranskill at about 3.30pm.
These rides are open to anyone, but are mostly attended by the older veteran rider.
