Thruxton has been good to the Louth rider in the past, scoring well at the Hampshire circuit over the years. Hicky has ridden as high as second there, and he is looking forward to a couple of good races again this weekend.

He said: “I am still a bit sore after my two little mishaps at Snetterton, neither of which were of my doing, but I will be fine for Thruxton.

“I really enjoy riding there; it’s a place where I have produced some of my best results and I am keen to add to that again this weekend.”

The weekend begins with two free practice sessions on Friday at 10.15am and 3pm, followed by a third on Saturday morning at 10.05am.

Three-stage qualifying laps take place on Saturday afternoon at 2.05pm with the top nine riders going through to the third stage.

If weather permits, the riders will take to the track one at a time in a Superpole shoot-out to secure grid positions for the first race on Sunday.

There is a short warm-up on Sunday at 10.05am ahead of the first 20-lap race at 1.30pm. The second race is scheduled for 4.30pm.
