Dessoy among the points after PHR duo crash in opening race in Assen
The Louth-based PHR Performance Racing by Peter Hickman Team of Harrison Dessoy and Fenton Seabright travelled to Assen in the Netherlands for round two of the 2026 World Sportbike Championship where Dessoy collected more championship points in the second race.
Seabright qualified the Triumph Daytona 660 in a strong seventh place on row three while Dessoy was a bit further down the grid on row six.

Sadly the opening race was a non-event for both riders as Dessoy high-sided on the opening lap and Seabright tangled with another rider in the first lap melee and ended up in the gravel trap.
Neither rider was hurt in the crashes and the team did a great job to get both bikes up and running for the second race on Sunday.
In race two Dessoy recovered from a bad start and completed the first lap down in 24th position but he battled his way through the midfielders to get up into a point scoring position by lap three.
On lap six he was up into 13th place and leading the second group all the way to the chequered flag, taking 13th place and picking up three championship points to add to the ones scored in the previous round, which brings his tally to seven and place him 16th in the rider standings.
Meanwhile Seabright had to complete two long lap penalties because of his crash in race one which put him down to 25th on lap four. In his efforts to regain the lost ground Seabright worked his way back through the field to 19th but then was unfortunate to crash. He was able to remount and continue but could only progress through to 25th position at the flag.
Seabright said: “It's been a difficult weekend to say the least, but we will continue working towards the next round.Thank you to the whole team for all their hard work.”
Dessoy said: “Overall its been a tricky but positive weekend at the 'Cathedral of Speed'.
“It was frustrating to crash out of race one, but I was happy to claw back some points in race two after a big mistake on the first lap.
“My pace is strong, the bike is in a great place, its just all about stringing everything together.
“A massive thank you to my PHR Performance team for their hard work this weekend, I am so thankful for all the graft after some tricky sessions and crashes.
“I have another new track to learn at Most in four weeks time and am looking forward to the challenge.”
The next round is at Most in the Czech Republic over the weekend of 14th-17th May.
