Johnson anticipates strong showing

Gary Johnson, from Broughton near Brigg, is anticipating a strong showing at the Vauxhall International North West 200 races at the weekend.

Last year he had an abysmal time with technical problems in some of his races and then the rest of the programme was abandoned because of torrential rain.

He did manage one result in the Supersport race with an 11th place but the Superstock along with the second Supersport and Superbike races were cancelled.

This year he will campaign a BMW in both the Superbike and Superstock races and feels he can record some top finishes.

Practice takes place Tuesday and Thursday 9-15am-3pm with racing on Thursday evening 5pm-9pm and the main races on Saturday 9.30am-7pm.
