On the first of the three days, Lintin was out on the Superbike and Supersport bikes getting the set up right and bringing the bikes up to pace.

He said: “We had a good day today, I rode the Superbike and Supersport bike but all good and I put in 80 laps.

“I achieved a good pace and was trying few different things.

“The Dafabet Devitt Racing boys are now working hard to prepare the bikes for the morning.”

But things didn’t quite go to plan on day two, Lintin explained: “Well Cartagena testing day two has resulted in a crash for the third year.

“A slight session of confidence over ability results in a roll about in the gravel.

“But my RST-Moto leathers and boots saved me and haven’t got a mark on me so all good for tomorrow.

“A quick repair to the bike and tomorrow is another day.”

The third and final day of the test went much better for the Lincolnshire ace.

He added: “Well that concludes a good first test of the season.

“Three days out in Cartagena produced some highs with new personal best lap times on big bike and Supertwin but also some lows with me ending up in a heap off the twin on day two.

“But a lot has been learnt, a lot of different things tried out and I have a good plan.

“I am looking forward to first meeting of the season.”

Lintin will be contesting the three major road races of North West 200, Isle of Man TT and the Ulster GP plus the Southern 100 and the races at Olivers Mount, Scarborough before rounding off his season with the Macau GP.
