Scarborough-based Auto 66 has launched the careers of many riders, with Barry Sheene heading a list that also includes Cadwell Park heroes Mick Grant and Roger Marshall. There’s a good chance of spotting a future talent tackling the same twists and undulations that have helped create past legends.

A huge variety of classes on offer at the event will include lightweight bikes with classes covering 125GP and Moto 3 up to 650cc, and Junior 600cc cycles to 1300cc Senior machines. At the top end of the scale there are Formula TT bikes and a Formula Libre category. The club also runs a Count of Cadwell competition especially for the Lincolnshire Wolds circuit.

In addition to the solo bikes there will also be sidecar races, with modern and classic classes of machinery. The sight of these three-wheeled machines conquering the Mountain with their passengers throwing themselves into position for the approach to Hall Bends is one of motorsport’s most entertaining spectacles.

Tickets for the Auto 66 Club Bike Championships are available online for £10, with free entry for under-13s. Visit www.cadwellpark.co.uk
