MOTORCYCLING: East Kirkby's Philip heads to Brands Hatch

Tommy Philp and Draper Racing team-mate Aaron Clarke travel to Kent for the seventh round of the British Supersport and the eighth round of the Superstock 600 championships that take place at Brands Hatch on Sunday.

The two riders are looking forward to the challenge where last time at the Kent circuit both of them were taken out of their race after a collision with another rider. They will both be hoping they will sail through their races with no mishaps this time in order to gain some good results to bring some points back to the team.

Tommy, of East Kirkby, has two free practice sessions in the British Supersport championship at 9.35am and 2pm on Friday, followed by qualifying at 9.40am on Saturday. The 12 lap Sprint race is scheduled for 1.30pm on Saturday.

There is another Sprint race later in the day at 4.25pm and this is the rescheduled race from Silverstone which had to be postponed because of bad weather. The 18 lap feature race takes place on Sunday at 3.40pm.

Tommy’s team-mate Aaron is first out on track for free practice in the Superstock 600 class at 9am on Friday. The first qualifying session is later in the day at 1.25pm.

Final qualifying takes place on Saturday at 11.45am and there is a short warm-up on Sunday at 9.15am. The 14 lap race is on Sunday at 12.35pm.
