MOTORCYCLING: Mixed bag of results for Ivan at TT

Bardney road racer Ivan Lintin didn't have the best of days at the Isle of Man TT festival last Monday when he was forced out of the four lap Supersport race in the morning with a technical problem, going on to finish in 12th place in the Superstock event later in the day.

In the Supersport event, Ivan was running around 14/15th place on the first lap and maintained 14th on lap two, but on coming into the pits at the end of the lap for a refuelling stop it was decided to retire the Kawasaki as a precaution when it developed an engine problem.

Later in the day, Ivan was out again, this time on the Superstock-spec Kawasaki for Team Devitt R C Express and moved through the field on time, from 15th on lap one, to take the chequered flag in 12th place.

He then jumped on board the Supertwin for a practice lap around the course in the Lightweight class where he finished in a very close second place behind Michael Rutter.
