Tim was unlucky to slip from his Buildbase Suzuki machine while holding the race lead in race one.

However, he took his maiden win in the series in the second encounter resulting in a double podium for the brothers.

Tom had qualified in fourth place for a second row start to race one and eased himself up into second place behind his brother on lap seven.

When Tim slid out of the race Tom took the lead and although he was closely followed by Chrissy Rouse, he controlled the race from the front and crossed the finish line to pick up maximum points.

Tom also set a new lap record on lap five with a 54.727s - 107.90mph.

He said: “That was amazing. Today it’s been more about tyre life and trying to conserve the tyre.

"It’s real fun sliding everywhere but you have to be so careful! I had a good race with Chrissy (Rouse) he kept me on my toes the whole race.”

Meanwhile Tim qualified in fifth place and lined up next to his brother on the second row.

He got a fantastic start and shot straight up into second place behind Damon Rees.

On lap seven he took the lead and looked to be pulling clear of the opposition.

But it all ended one lap later when he hit one of the ripples going into turn five and slid from his machine, his race over.

Tim said: “Massive shame to crash out of today’s race, I really felt as if we had the pace to take the win.

"I just made a mistake which sadly cost us the race. A massive thank you to Buildbase Suzuki for all of their efforts so far this weekend; let’s see what tomorrow brings!”

Both Tom and Tim started the second race from the front row of the grid.

Tom from pole position and Tim third. But it was Tim who got the hole shot although he was demoted to second place on the opening lap by Lewis Rollo.

Tom settled into third place behind his brother but was soon passed by Chrissy Rouse who was anxious to get to the front of the pack.

Tim held second place for the first six laps before Rouse passed him with Tom following through.

Both Neave twins caught and passed Rollo in the frantic action and while Tom remained in third place for the remainder of the race Tim pushed on and finally hit the front on lap 13 of 24.

He held his ground and despite all his efforts Rouse was unable to make a pass stick and Tim crossed the finish line not only for his first podium finish but his first victory in the class.

Tom was not very far behind in third place and hangs on to his series lead with a four point advantage over Rouse.

Tim moved up to fourth in the rider standings on 58 points and in his efforts to secure his race win he broke the lap record that was set the day before by his brother with a 54.560s lap set on lap three - 108.24mph.

Tim said: “I am absolutely made up with the win today.

"It’s been a massive step forward to get to this from where I had been over the last two years and I can’t thank Steve and Stuart Hicken enough for the opportunity to ride for Buildbase Suzuki.”

The next round is at Oulton Park over the weekend September 18-20.
