Mud, mud and more mud was the order of the day for all the runners and walkers.

Boston Community Runners were heading up the A17 to North Rauceby on the first Saturday of February where 19 members took part in the annual Rauceby Ripper. A tracks and trails run of about 9 miles. This year was extremely muddy along some of the tracks after one of the wettest starts to a year on record. However, despite quite a few slippery moments, the walkers, jeffers and runners all managed to stay upright.

It was Steve Roberts that led the black and yellow stripes home with an age category winning time of 1.07.34. He was chased home by Lee Conway in 1.09.30. our third club runner back was Simon Jackson in 1.15.25 finishing just a minute ahead of Kelvin Clements in 1.16.27.

Nick Turner was next in view and stopped the clock in 1.22.56 and behind him was our first lady finisher, Elektra Roberts in 1.28.13. Simon Pickwell returned to the events with a super time of 1.30.59 and Sarah Barnes was back too after a very busy year, stopping the clock in 1.42.09 just a second ahead of Kevin Hindle with a great run in 1.42.10. Mary Turner logged 1.46.53 over the line and Peter Mittertreiner finished in 2.02.59.
