Multiple option rides for Aegir cyclists

Gainsborough Aegir Cycling Club is now running multiple option rides on selected Sundays.

The idea is to allow riders of differing abilities to enjoy a club ride.

The first one was last Sunday when 14 riders took part in a 25-mile Remembrance Day ride to Scotter.

Some of the riders met up at Scotter riding home with the group and some headed directly home.

The cyclists who took part were Colin Smith, Dave Backhouse, Dave Walker, Loll Dickenson, Yvonne Thornhill, Pete Hanks, Trevor Halstead, Daniel Nicholson, Helen Coleman, Michael and Janet Dawson, Mark Clark, Sally Shaw and Andy Clark.

Jordan Skelly chose a faster ride using a circular route following the east bank of the River Trent crossing Keadby Bridge returning to Gainsborough on the west bank.

Next week’s event is on Sunday 18th November, when riders will take part in the second round of the Gainsborough Aegir Speed Judging Event.

Meet at Roseway, Gainsborough at 9.20am.
