In a first for Boston teams, the Ladies’ Senior team made club history by arriving on the opposition’s doorstep by helicopter.

The team of Judith Walker, Carole Evans, Margaret Wright and Jenny McGarel had drawn Cheltenham away in the National Seniors knock-out competition.

With weather conditions favourable, the team took themselves via helicopter to Cheltenham.

It was a loss for the Boston Senior Ladies, but this was almost compensated for by the stylish manner of their arrival and departure.
