Despite having just two entrants, the Boston club finished 27th in the International leaderboard for this event, beating clubs from countries including Italy, Belgium, Germany, Greece and Spain.

Competing the arena which housed the wrestling at the 2004 Olympic Games, Nesta reached the final of the junior female (16-18 years) -55kg light continuous category, defeating her strong Italian opponent in the final with a unanimous decision, her first international gold for Evolution and Team WAKO Great Britain.

The 16-year-old then fought her way to victory in the senior female (19 years+) -55kg light continuous section before making her international debut in the kick light division.

The -65kg division saw Nesta give away 10kg, but in the junior female (16-18 years) -65kg section she fought three tough strong fighters before defeating a Greek rival by unanimous decision in the final.

In the junior female (16-18 years) -55kg points section, Nesta was beaten in the quarter-finals by the number one seed.

But she ended the tournament by claiming bronze in the junior female (16-18 years) -60kg point.

Rhys, 17, competed in the junior male (16-18 years) open weight grand championship, which was host to competitors from countries that included Hungary, Russia, Belgium and Ireland.

Rhys drew an Italian in one of the preliminary rounds and after a tough fight he missed out on the next round by two points.

In the point section, Rhys did not place in his divisions but he was happy with how he had performed.
