New faces make their junior debuts

Several new faces made their debut in the junior classes. Five-year-old Aimee Hartley, now starting her second season in the Bambinos section, took the third-place trophy back home to Cadwell.

Barton’s Jack Badley finished first in Mini-Max ahead of Louth’s Daniel Drury.

And David Darnborough, from Brinkhill, took top honours in the Junior-Max.

Louth driver Wayne Hutson’s earned his greatest success since starting karting.

He battled hard all day to secure his first winners’ trophy in the highly-competitive Senior-Max section.

Rob McFarlane dominated the super quick KZ125’s and Spilsby’s Chris Lake enjoyed third in only his first race in the class.

In the 250 gearbox, old hands John Faulkner, from Coningsby, and Rob Cordell, from Grimsby, dominated.

Round two will be held on Sunday, March 27, with practice the day before.

The warm-up begins at 10am, with the first race getting underway at 10.30am.

Spectators are welcome and the entrance is next to Woodthorpe Garden Centre.
