Orienteers host event

This Sunday will see Bassetlaw Orienteers host the first Notts Winter League meeting of 2012 with an event at Bevercotes Pit Wood.

The event is part of the Bassetlaw Games that help celebrate the Olympics coming to London.

There will be four different courses that will cater for all ages and levels of experience.

Registration is from 10am with starts between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Car parking will be at the entrance to the wood and will be signed from the B6387, the road from Gamston to Bothamsall.

Meanwhile, six Bassetlaw orienteers travelled to Derbyshire on Sunday morning to start the New Year with an urban race around the streets of Wirksworth and five ran in the Gerald Storey Fun Run that started and finished in the grounds of Worksop College, on Monday 2nd.
