Play resumed on 1st June with the club following the Bowls England Covid-19: Supplementary Guidance for Lawn Bowls Clubs guidelines.

It saw bowlers needing to make prior bookings, with play strictly on a one v one basis and a rink left vacant between each rink played on.

A maximum of six people were allowed on the bowling green site at any one time, with social distancing respected.

Following subsequent approved guidance, the club will be re-instating their Thursday Club Nights with effect from 2 July, allowing up to four members to play on a rink, with the previous restrictions still in place.

On Saturday 11 July the club will hold their Club Singles, and the Club Pairs will take place on 8 August.

The Triples event is under review in August due it meaning there would be six people on a rink.

Club officials also felt they could not safely hold the Open Pairs fundraising event scheduled for 19 July. The event may now be held in September i f the Covid-19 situation improves.

Beckingham Bowls Club have been advised that they are going forward to the voting stage to be chosen as Lincolnshire Co-op Community Champions in the autumn in a Co-op store.

Voting is only open to Lincolnshire Co-op Dividend Card holders who can vote online by logging on to www.lincolnshire.coop/ccvote and voting before the closing date of Sunday 5 July.
