Boston Community Runners get in the festive spirit

The National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont was the host for a compendium of races that was collectively titled the Nottingham Christmas Marathon, Half, 10k, 5k and one-mile.

Sunday’s half marathon saw three members of Boston Community Runners taking part.

It was a raw day that saw a very cold breeze bearing down on the runners.

The course was 5k loops of the water sports centre and the ladies all had good runs over 13 miles.

Dawn Cobb was the first back in the black and yellow stripes in a time of 2:19.02.

Debbie Petley was pleased with her time crossing the line in 2:38.08 and Samantha Cross finished in 2:45.30, three minutes quicker than her summer half and getting nearer to her PB time once again.
