Boston karate kids win European titles in Moscow

Members of Traditional Karate Academy Boston scooped nine medals at the European Championships and European Children’s Cup.

Competing in Moscow, among the 1,000-plus entrants, the club held its own in Russia.

“Nine medals for Boston team is indisputable evidence that the direction and the training strategy we have chosen are the right ones,” said head instructor sensei Zbigniew Godzisz.

“Appropriate methodology and persistence in training routine brought about a most desired effect.”

Adriana Peiseniece won gold in Individual Kumite and silver in Individual Kata while Eden Parker struick gold in Individual Kumite. Ernest Skarzinskij also finished top of the podium after winning the Individual Kumite.

Kamila Rogelevic claimed silver in Individual Kata and Individual Kumite while bronzes went to Milana Rubina and Saimonas Stanaitis, both in the Individual Kumite.

Adriana Peiseniece and Patryk Godzisz finished in fourth place in the En-bu.

Club member Pawel Kutermankiewicz was among the senior GB entrants who won gold in the team kumite.
