The ride headed towards Retford, passing through the quaint hamlet of Little Gringley, before returning via Babworth, Sutton cum Lound, Matterey, Wiseton, Clayworth, Gringley on the Hill and Walkeringham.

It was a very pleasant 43-mile ride, with time to view the Chesterfield Canal, although strong wind made riding conditions hard at times.

To take part in Sunday's ride, those interested must contact Trevor Halstead at Gainsborough Cycles, 20 Ropery Road Gainsborough, or telephone 01427 617752 before 5pm on Saturday for details.
