Despite starting brightly with several shots on goal, Louth were hit with a sucker punch when the away side took the lead from a short corner.

It was still an even game, with Louth having a few chances cleared, before Horncastle added a second in quick succession to make life tough for Louth going into the second half.

The second half continued in the same pattern as the first with Louth finding it difficult to break down the Horncastle defence, whilst the away side had no such trouble and secured a result for them with three more goals putting the game well out of reach of Louth.
