Fishing in Focus: The latest local angling news

David Eastwood rounds up the latest angling news on this week’s Fishing in Focus.

Bainside Fishery in Kirkby on Bain has a number of Carp up to 15lb showing, despite the recent cold snap. Fish Corn, Bread or Pellets for your best chance of a Carp. Lots of Silver fish to be had on pole or waggler, fishing with maggots as bait. https://www.bainside.co.uk/

Woodland Waters in Ancaster has plenty of bites to be had on all lakes. Find the Roach on the Match lake or Specimen Lake and a bumper day could be on the cards with fish up to 2lb. The Specimen lake has thrown up a number of surprise Eels recently too. http://woodlandwaters.co.uk/fishing-lakes/

Priory Lakes in Ruskington will keep the float going under on Lake 1 with Roach, Perch and the odd bonus fish showing. Lake 2 is still throwing up Double figure carp. Late afternoon offers the best chance of a better fish.

Remember you need an environment agency rod licence https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences and to travel within a short distance from home. Match fishing can resume from December 3rd. I will post local results from next week.
