Gainsborough Aegir Cycling Club take on 25-mile leisure ride

Gainsborough Aegir Cycling Club’s Sunday Leisure Ride was out to Bransby Horses Home, a distance of 25 miles the riders followed Cycling UK guide lines.

The riders departed Roseway in Gainsborough heading out of town along Heapham Road.

The ride then progressed through Upton, Kexby, Willingham by Stow, Normanby by Stow and Stow to arrive at Bransby.

The group arrived in good time to make a refreshment stop in the cafe.

The ride home took the riders through Westwoods, Stow, Willingham by Stow, Knaith Park and Lea returning into Gainsborough along Lea Road.

The route of the ride is chosen at Roseway before departure.

The 10-mile Time Trial meets Laughton Lane with signing on from 6.30pm on Wednesday.

The first rider off at 7pm.

The 18-mile Bob Fotheringham H/C Trophy will be held on July 22.

The time trial competitors will meet at the top of Thonock Hill, past the golf club, signing on from 6.30pm.

The first rider is off at 7pm.
