Gainsborough's Aegir Cycling Club hold first ride since lockdown

Gainsborough Aegir Cycling Club held their first leisure ride since lockdown on Sunday as they ventured into Notttinghamshire.

The riders followed Cycling UK guide lines, with riders departing from Roseway in Gainsborough town centre and heading over the River Trent, before passing through Beckingham.

The ride then progressed through Walkeringham, Gringley on the Hill, Wiseton and Mattersey.

Arriving at Daneshill Lakes they paused before heading through Torworth and along Billy Button Lane to Barnby Moor. The ride followed Old London Road towards Brick Yard Lane pausing to look at the 300 year old way marker stone.Heading homewards the riders progressed through Eaton, Upton, Headon, Treswell, South & North Leverton, Sturton le Steeple and Saundby, before arriving in Beckingham with the riders returning to Gainsborough along the riverside cycle path.Riders must contact Trevor Halstead or Daniel Nicholson at Gainsborough Cycles 20 Ropery Road Gainsborough or telephone 01427 617752 for the start time.
