The Boston Community Runner competed in the Dig Deep Trail from Whirlow Hall Farm, on the outskirts of Sheffield.

Four great races from a 10km trail race through to the challenge of the Peak District’s toughest ultra at 60 miles and over 10,500 feet of climbing were on offer.

Carder was once again able to compete in his favourite type of running and took part in the 12.12 on the Sunday morning.

Again, there was no mass gatherings at the start and with everyone chip timed the rolling start allowed runners to be well spaced apart from the outset.

Carder’s run had more than 2,077 feet of ascent across the 12.12 miles and gave him great trails, runnable climbs and swooping downhills through some iconic Peak District country side.

“Such a brilliant route. It was just spot on for running and great views towards Sheffield,” he said, after clocking 2:38.04.
