Sleaford gymnasts impress in latest competitions

Sleaford Gymnastic Club shone at two recent events.

Most of the gymnasts only attend one or two hours a week so for them to learn the skill requirements and have the courage to go in front of lots of people to perform these skills was a massive achievement in itself.

They first took part in the Gymnastics For All event at Spalding.

Gymnasts competing were Macey Bowler, Annie Dickinson, Nancy Garwell, Maisey Baitup, Ayra Wildsmith, Isla Stanton, Evie Burgess, Zoe Fry, Kimberly Munton, Kendra Ancliffe, Lois Wright, Evelyn Baitup, Isla Garnett, Emily Smith, Lilly Mardle, Naomi Jenkins, Lucy Bunce, Annie Lawson and Mia-Grace Raymond.

Arya Wildsmith received a trophy for resilience and determination from the judges

Evely Baitup received a trophy for the gymnast who stood out the most expressing the fun of gymnastics and showing the best team spirit.

The National Roses Invitational at Milton Keynes saw 11 club members compete.

They joined gymnasts from all over the UK to compete on the vault, bars, beam, floor and trampette. The gymnasts did absolutely fantastic and finished off bringing home a staggering 32 medals between them.
